Toil in the Summer Sun

Perhaps the title is not as inticing as the former one, but trust me--it's more rewarding!!!

That's right ladies and gentlemen, the summer has returned, and with it everyone's favorite summer pass time--SERVICE PROJECTS!!! (please hold your applause for the end)

I feel that service projects defined our group last summer. They led to a lot of spiritual and mental maturity among us (not to mention some sweet muscles) and were a blessing to bunches of people. We were the hands, feet, and voice of God last summer and there is no doubt that we can do even more this year. Schools break up in three weeks and I would like to see us hit the ground running. Following is a list of activities which we can get involved in to minister for God and make a difference in both our family and our community:

1.God's Gardeners...you know the drill
2.L.I.N.K...Lawrence Interdenominational Noodle? Kitchen [Not sure about that N]
3.Work at Tallgrass...This one will get its own post!
4.Community trash brigade..."making Lawrence beautiful one beer can at a time"
5.Visiting the Elderly
6.Visiting the Orphans
7.Habitat for Humanity...ever just want to build a house?

I will stop with seven, something Biblical about it. If can think of any more ideas and have a suggestion, please comment and let us know.

!!APPLAUSE!!
